Steam Your Face At Home

Monday, March 29, 2010

Steaming the face is the best way to get rid of pimples, stimulates the circulation, blackheads and whiteheads, unclogs blocked pores and releasing toxins. I think it's important to loosen debris that may be embedded into the skin. The high temperature actually helps to open pores and after steaming it will be more easier to remove the blackheads, whiteheads and the little pimples. Steaming can be taken by leaning over a large bowl of boiling water, by covering your head with a towel and making a tent around the bowl. You can add essential oils or herbs to the hot water. Steam your face for about ten to twenty minutes. Dry your face after that with a towel and now it's time for you to extract them!!! Use sterilized tools and do not use your hands as they may infect the blemish. Moisturize your skin according to its type and apply sunscreen to protect it.

Bowl Cut, Anyone?

Monday, March 22, 2010

A bowl cut, also known as a beach cut, pot haircut, chili bowl, or a mushroom cut, is a haircut where the hair is cut short on the sides and back and looking as though someone put a bowl on the head and cut off all the visible hair. This haircut especially on ladies, seems to be enjoying a comeback of sorts as a bevy of hip, young celebs have been seen sporting the look around town. One glance at this retro round bob probably has you wondering what could possibly prompt chic young ladies like Agyness Deyn, Estelle, Parker Posey, Rihanna and Christina Ricci to don a short hairstyle that gives off such a distinct whiff of 70's cheese. It's got a slightly sexy, a little bit brooding, definitely retro vibe that keeps the eyes entranced.

Hair Fringe Holder

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Hair Fringe HolderI would love to share with all my readers about what I've found over the weekend and I found it interesting!! I don't know how to call it but on the Internet some people call it Hair Fringe Holder (picture above). I heard that it's the best selling beauty product in Japan!! I really love the genius of it!!

Hair Fringe HolderThis accessory is very light and it is just like Velcro type of hook-and-loop fasteners that keep hair gently in place without grasping it firmly the way traditional hair accessories do. I was so amazed by how weightless and thin this hair fringe holder is and I can barely feel it on my head! Not only does it hold up my fringe without crimping or messing it up, it also allows me to keep my parting.

Hair Fringe HolderHow to use? It's extremely easy to use. Just simply pat or slap the hair fringe holder on the portion of hair that you would like to keep up and your hair stays put immediately. Now, you can keep your hair away from the face while you do your makeup or washing your face and it won't flatten the hair. Say goodbye to the dents and marks of clips and grips :)

Product Review: MAC Studio Sculpt SPF15 Foundation

Monday, March 8, 2010

MAC Studio Sculpt SPF15 Foundation"A creamy, luxurious, gel-based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water-resistant." - MAC

I think this foundation is amazing especially for those who have dry to normal skin like me. I bought this foundation just few months ago and so far am loving it! I've experienced this foundation without primer/base, it just goes on smooth with a great finish. It covers everything from pimples to dark spots and scars and it lasts all day with zero to minimal fading. It also doesn't dry out like a few others I've tried. Great coverage that is not heavy. It's awesome for medium to full coverage. This foundation is perfect as it gives me that flawless look without looking too heavy or cakey. It does not clog my pores or break me out.

Discover The Soft Side of Rough Feet!

Monday, March 1, 2010

Discover The Soft Side of Rough Feet! Most people experience rough feet especially during the dry weather and it's one of the main cause of rough feet that can cause cracked heel and calluses. I'm currently having those problems on my feet. It comes and goes!!! Here, I would love to share with you what I've bought few weeks ago and what I've experienced. I noticed that there's a tremendous change on my rough feet ever since I bought a Double-Sided Foot File from The Body Shop. It works really really well on me!! I know, taking care of your feet is just as important as taking care of your hair or your body. Most of us are on our feet 10 hours a day, but yet, so many of us neglect them, that including me... The Face Shop Double-Sided Foot File is specifically designed to be used on the feet. For those who have rough feet problems like me should try a foot file to keep your feet smooth and pleasant. It's so easy to use, too... Normally, I do this after my evening shower. Just wet your feet and scrub away rough skin area and you're done!!! For best result, dry your feet and moisturize with your favorite quality moisturizer. Rub and massage the lotion deep into your skin. To maintain your new soft feet, wear socks after applying lotion before you go to bed.
