How I Apply False Eyelashes

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Here's my new video on how I apply false lashes... Actually, I'm a bit disappointed because Youtube has blocked my video in some countries :-( Anyway, keep watching... Hope you enjoy it!! Please subscribe, comment and rate (it means alot) !!!

Here's the link to this video.

The following are the tools I use for this purpose:
- False lashes
- Lash Adhesive
- A stick

These are the optional tools (which I don't use in the video):
- Tweezer - you can actually pick the lashes up with tweezers and bring it as close to your natural lash line as possible
- Lash curler - you can actually curl up you real lashes before apply false lashes
- Eyeliner - apply liquid eyeliner at the end of the step, fill any gaps between the false lashes and your natural lash line

Oh ya, don't forget to trim the false lashes in the first place which I don't show in the video.

MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base Visage

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base VisageDo you wear base/primer? Typically a base/primer is used to extend the staying power of the foundation or to control excess oil for those especially with oily skin. I'm using MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base Visage for my base and it's the best makeup base I've tried so far!! It is an ultra-smooth, light-as-water lotion formulated to bring a special optic effect and suitable for all skin types. I usually wear it under my foundation. It calms, soothes and hydrates my skin. It evens out my skin tones and controls excess oil (especially my T-zone) and I always get that perfect skin texture after apply it. Not only that, for those who have fine lines and wrinkles, it helps to minimize the look. Using this base, my makeup application is much more easier and my foundation lasts significantly longer for the whole day. So far, I haven't experienced any breakouts from it. I will continue to use this product in the future.

Product Review: The Face Shop The Skin Extra BB Cream SPF20 PA++

Friday, January 15, 2010

The Face Shop The Skin Extra BB Cream SPF20 PA++Have you heard of BB cream? BB cream, also known as Blemish Balm or Blemish Base, is a cosmetic item sold in Korea and it is also the hottest beauty product in Korea. BB cream started out as a therapeutic moisturizer in Germany used to treat the irritated skin of the patients who went under peeling, laser, or microdermabrasion. BB cream is actually an all-in-one make up product that can be used as a moisturizer, make up base, concealer and foundation. This cream really save my time during the morning rush!

I've heard many reviews about different brands of BB cream lately. So, I decided to try The Face Shop The Skin Extra BB Cream SPF20 PA++. I bought it few months ago and it was my first BB cream from The Face Shop. I think it sounds good as it claims that this product "formulated with Marjoram and Acti-firm Complex to sooth irritated skin, this 3-in-1 moisturizer offers SPF20 protection, corrects complexion with natural coverage and replenishes skin with nutrients".

Companies that currently carry the BB cream are mostly Korean and include the following:

Bio Remedies Therapeutic Cosmetics (BRTC)
Skin Food
Missha
Skin 79
Etude
The Face Shop

Here's my review:

I don't really like the smell because it smells like sunblock!! It has very good coverage indeed and it lasts me all day. I usually put on a light layer since I prefer a natural look and then I blend it in, after that I pat my face lightly for it to set. Once it sets in, it just looks so natural and my skin is much less oily throughout the day. For this product, you don't have to put too much on otherwise it may looks so cakey. To keep my skin moisturized, I sometimes wear it after moisturizer as I have dry to normal skin. My skin could gets dry easily without moisturizer after few hours of application. I thought it's supposed to hydrate my skin but it's not!! But, nevermind... It's still one of my favourite product though!! Perhaps this product is more suitable for those who has oily skin? Well, I'm not sure... You gotta try it out!!

How I Apply Blush, Contour, and Highlight

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

My video above shows how I apply my blush, contour and highlight. I love to apply these, because it gives my face more of a 3D effect. Contour is a dark shade, usually a brown color, and is used to make parts of your face recede, while highlight is a light shade, often white, and is used to make parts of your face protrude more. Blush is simply used to give your cheeks a healthy glow. It doesn't really matter which one do you start first. I use an angled blush brush and I always tap the brush just to get rid of excess powder.

Check out my video here. Keep watching!!!

Hope you enjoy it!! Please subscribe, comment and rate!!! Thanks...
