My New Hair for the Tiger Year

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. It falls on Valentine's day this year ei. 14th February 2010. And, it will be the start of the Year of the Tiger. Many people, especially Chinese, will start preparing for the New Year one month before. They would do house cleaning, put new interior and exterior decoration, gifts for all family members, food, prepare new clothes and etc. Plus getting your hair done, like I did!

Last weekend, my friend and I went to Crowning Glory Hair Studio located at Jalan Song, Kuching, just to have our hair done for the new look of the Tiger Year. In fact, it ain't my first time there. I still remember the very first time I went there was few years back when I did my "Korean curl" hair style. That was the most popular trend at that time, and all the girls were like crazy about it :-) Ok, why I decided to come back to this hair studio... Mmm, maybe I was influenced by a friend of mine and also my sisters in law who are regular customer there ;-)

This hair studio I went to provide a professional service, and I like the atmosphere because it's so comfortable and so relaxing, and they also operate in a spirit of order and excellence. What I like about this hair studio is that, you choose a hairstyle and their professional hairstylists will recreate the style to suit you.

I started off with dyeing my hair, followed by treatment and cutting/trimming. The product that I used to dye my hair is a brand called Wella (I'm sure you heard of this brand) and the color I used is called "Blue Black". My natural hair is already black and I decided to dye my hair darker because I'm so used to other colors already. For hair treatment, the product that they recommended is Ezo Moisturizing Treatment (picture below). It only takes about 10 - 15 minutes and then just rinse thoroughly.

Ezo Moiturizing Treatment - This product is applicable to frequent dyed, permed and naturally dry hair. It is rich in protein, able to restore and treat the loss of protein and dehydration caused by frequent hair dyeing and perming. It strengthens the hair and enables its to be healthier and more shiny.

Here's some shots after the hair session:

My new "blue black" hair color...
Mmm, I don't really see the difference, maybe due to the lighting or what?

This is the new trends in hair highlights, according to the Pro Hairstylist
The highlight is actually under her hair and few colors involved

We thought we gonna end up with nothing. Guess what? At the end of the session, we were given free gifts. We were so excited about it! Plus, we were quite satisfied with our hair... Thanks to Crowning Glory Hair Studio.
