Wash Face With Rice Water

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Rice water contains various nutrients and it is known to remove sebum, prevent skin troubles, and rejuvenate skin cells. It's actually good for your face, and plants, too... Don't think that the rice water is dirty. It's not! What you do is after you wash the rice once or twice in a small amount of water, use the rice water to wash your face. Your face will become smooth. Wash face every morning and evening for best results.

Do you use the rice water to wash off your cleanser or just splash your face with the rice water as if it were your cleanser? And also, do you splash your face with regular water afterwards to clean your face from the rice water? I've never heard about this before so I'm intrigued. Thanks for sharing!

Normally I wash my face with rice water and rinse with cold water after that. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. It makes your skin smoother and whiter. Good luck!

I agree. And hey, rice water is good to use as broth for various dishes. Anything that requires water for cooking, use rice water instead of plain water. It adds to the good taste of food. That, by the way, is the secret to Philippine (Ilocano, particularly) dishes.
